I occasionally patronized the place in its last years.I heard Lang had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's(which he later died of) and decided to
sell out while he could still get his own price.
He worked the dining room regularly,as an old-fashioned host should.One night he was passing out free samples of a new wine with
the undignified name of "Bull's Blood"----I loved him from that day on.
Restaurant also famous for an enormous dessert buffet table that was in the center of the main dining room.
