"Nitrite (III) is a stronger oxidizer than nitrate (V) because at valence III it has less electrons to recover than nitrate at valence V and so the number of electrons to capture is lower. This facilitates the electronic transfer and increases the kinetic of the oxidation reaction."


This paragraph taken from the properties section is nonsensical, it has circular reasoning. Moreover, when considering the rest of inorganic chemistry this is just plain wrong.
