It sounds a bit like that, but that's not uncommon for a stub like this. --C S (Talk) 11:30, 12 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
The "About" section reads like a corporate statement, and should be revised for its language even if it is not totally removed. Discussing community outreach and plans for expansion is fine, but "CPK is increasing and expanding its presence continuously. The company strives to stay involved with community outreach and fundraising activities. From fundraisers, to birthday parties, to donating to local charities, CPK aims to promote positive change" most certainly is not the way to describe it, and I'd be surprised it if did not come from the an employee.--Awmarton (talk) 16:32, 18 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Or a fan inexperienced with Wikipedia. That's easy enough to review and fix. It looks like that, plus some fluff near the bottom, was all added by a single account sometime in 2013. When I get around to it I'll condense all that material to stuff that is actually relevant, nonpromotional, and sourced. - Wikidemon (talk) 19:24, 18 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

This definitely still needs work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Y2kbugger (talkcontribs) 23:59, 5 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

I may not know about all the CPKs, but I worked at a shopping mall CPK ASAP, and the oven was a gas oven designed to look like a wood-burning pizza oven. GWatson • TALK 09:11, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Good article, needs updating. I had wondered why the chain was struggling in the 2000's. Went there once, it was great. Went back a year later, ugh. Never went back.

Just went private again: (05/24/2011)

California Pizza Kitchen is being bought by Golden Gate Capital for $470 million, or $18.50 per share in cash. Shares of CPK (CPKI) rose 12% ahead of the opening bell.
