Steve Wesley Governor bid/2006 election
editI deleted the sentence stating in 2006 that Steve Westley didn't run for a second term and ran for governor instead and the sentence about Chiang defeating Tony Strickland. It would seem more appropriate for this information to go into an article about the election itself or in the articles about the said individuals and seems out of place out of place for the article about the office itself. The California State Controller is in charge of the state's Unclaimed Property Division. Most other of the states run their unclaimed property program under the State Treasurer. Most notably, the California State Controller requires business organizations to report their unclaimed property on an annual basis in a two-report process. Controller's Office History
editIt would be great to add the history of the Controller's Office. When was it established? Why? When were duties and responsibilities added?Pcvjamaica (talk) 16:43, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
