The title has been confirmed as Black Ops 2

edit

The official title for the game has been confirmed by target to be Call of Duty: Black Ops II, they start taking pre orders may 2, so they would know. Plus there are leaked images of pre order cards with the logo and title on them. Here is a link to the source: http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/122/1223929p1.html

Rumors and leaks can't be used. We have to wait for the official reveal on May 1st. At this point the confirmation is "A guy who works at target took these pictures." -- ferret (talk) 13:56, 28 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Once the official announcement is made, we would use Black Ops 2. The "II" would be viewed as a stylization. -- ferret (talk) 18:29, 28 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Err, no. If it's officially confirmed as "Black Ops II", then the article should be changed to "Call of Duty: Black Ops II". It is not stylization. Otherwise, the "Grand Theft Auto III" article would be "Grand Theft Auto 3" (despite the previous installment being officially titled "Grand Theft Auto 2"). I know it's irrelevant, but I unofficially created the "Call of Duty 9" article (the edits previous were redirects)-SCB '92 (talk) 09:03, 30 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
You're right. I know there's some rules about stylization and stuff, guess direct title like numerics vs romans doesn't apply. -- ferret (talk) 11:43, 30 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please wait on changing the article to "Black Ops II" until the official reveal

edit

Please hold on changing the article until the official reveal has occur and the reliable sources have covered it. This will occur "tonight", eastern standard time in the US. Once the reliable sources have covered it, we can move the article from "9" to "Black Ops II" and make the relevant edits. -- ferret (talk) 12:01, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
