I don't see the basis for treating the Muslim and Christian calls to prayer, which are addressed to the public and serve to call people to the service, as the same as the Jewish barechu, which is issued to people already in the synagogue and serves to begin the formal service. They are really quite different things. Judaism really differs from Islam and Christianity in not having a call to prayer in the sense of a public announcement.Bill (talk) 01:43, 9 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
