Term "bandits"
editI wonder if the term "bandits" is sufficiently neutral. To me it sounds biased and somewhat derogative and it was surely mainly used by communist propaganda. While the nationalists' view, who regarded themselves as freedom fighters, would be equally unacceptable because of lack of neutrality, we maybe should prefer terms that were used by neutral parties not involved in the conflict. Maybe something in the direction of "rebels", "guerrilla", "insurgents", depending on the terms actually used in neutral sources. This would also concern similar articles about other campaigns against "bandits" in the late stages of the Chines civil war. --Proofreader (talk) 21:19, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
