?!
editCan someone explain why the article's VFD nomination is said to be September 2, 2006? --Crazysunshine 05:17, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- Fixed - that was too strange --Supercoop 13:35, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, duh, it's just the dating systems. I'm used to month/day/year as opposed to day/month/year. I'll just replace the numbers with words so as to avoid confusion. --Crazysunshine 10:23, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
Correction?
editActually the words Bart utters is "Can't sleep clown will eat me" so should that be the correct article name and not Can't sleep, clown'll eat me. --Misterrick 07:54, 12 February 2005 (UTC)
P.S. I forgot to log in when I wrote the first message. --Misterrick 07:58, 12 February 2005 (UTC)
- That and Can't sleep, clown will eat me both redirect here. --Uncle G 14:08, 2005 Apr 12 (UTC)
This whole entry is pretty dubious. If this is accepted, pretty much any cartoon stuff could be. I'm very close to Afd'ing it. Gretnagod 01:23, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Oh yes threaten everyone afdin freaking everything DOES NOT HELP wikipedia just just makes the wealthon knowledge smaller I know I enjoyed reading and learning about this here. - Mike Beckham 06:43, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm... redirecting Can't sleep, clowns will eat me as well. bd2412 T 20:07, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Merge
editSupport - per nom. It is useless having one neologism as a stub, and not with the rest of them... - Adolphus79 08:36, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- can we request articles on more neologisms? If someone would do the work, it could be fun ;) John wesley 21:06, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- check out List of neologisms on The Simpsons for the full list... please note, this list is pretty long, but is on the to-do list at WikiProject The Simpsons... feel free to join the project, and help make The Simpsons on Wikipedia better... - Adolphus79 22:16, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
That's a Wikipedian's moniker
editI know I can't talk whin it comes to weird internet screen names but in a wierd twist of fate, there is actually a frequent poster on Wikipedia that uses Can't sleep, clown will eat me as his screen name.
- He has actually gone through the trouble of creating an elabate persona and clown based Wikipedia profile. This irony is that he hasn't post on this page yet. I only bring it up because, like him, I am passing my insomnia, trying to keep my sanity by editing wikipedia, just like CSCWEM--Dudeman5685 09:35, 28 May 2006 (UTC)--Dudeman5685 09:35, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- yeah, I see him all over the place and get a chuckle every time... I still hope some day he'll stroll by the WikiProject... LOL - Adolphus79 09:45, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- He's an administrator now. :) Newyorkbrad 04:22, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
Repeat bid for merge
editOver on the 'neologisms' page, we've just renamed to Culturally significant phrases from The Simpsons which would make merging this page into the list a lot more sense (there's now a dozen rather than hundreds of entries).
I guess critical to the decision is whether the size of this article makes it too much to merge, and whether anyone's likely to type in this phrase to search for info about it --Mortice 18:50, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- I think that sounds find. This article really isn't this long and most of the info is from the episode. Natalie 19:31, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm not sure of protocol - if there's no disagreement, do we (I) merge the text and replace this with a redirect, or do I need to raise another nomination for deletion? --Mortice 20:57, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- The "protocol" is you use the {{mergeto}} and {{mergefrom}}, which I just did. Then we discuss over there where the Discuss links to and after a few days, merge and redirect. No need for AfD. However, somebody needs to use AWB or something similar and remove the double redirects... — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib 21:51, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks Revragnarok, will remember that for next time --Mortice 22:00, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
