My thoughts.

I can personally relate to Lue. Like her, I have little musical training. I like singing in church, but cannot play any instruments. The Canaan Hymns appeal to both me and my congregation. Thank you, Wikipedia, for creating an article about such a wonderful hymnal. Woshiyiweizhongguoren (🇨🇳) 15:19, 29 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, Woshiyiweizhongguoren. I can probably speak for many Wikipedians when I say it's extremely rare for me to get feedback when I write about largely untold stories like this one. When I first encountered Canaan Hymns in the program The Cross: Jesus in China, I was ready to dismiss it as just another weird story from China. I was pleasantly surprised to find it covered in so many sources, allowing me to write this article. I'd say it sparked my interest in Chinese Christianity. It has taken me on a unique journey of creation: I reference the magazine Tian Feng in this article, so I wrote an article on it. The magazine, in turn, is linked with the historical "The Christian Manifesto", so I created an article for that too. The manifesto coincided with the decline of the National Christian Council of China, for which I also wrote an article. Now all these three articles have attained Good Article status! In that sense, Canaan Hymns has greatly inspired me as well. As always, if you have any suggestions about making the article even better, please let me know. Maybe one day this one will make it to Good Article status as well. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 04:39, 10 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
