I question the accuracy of some of the entries in this list of Canadians of Norwegian descent. Jeff Friesen, Dawna Friesen, and Cindy Klassen are all primarily of Mennonite descent and consequently have no particular connection to Norway: most Canadian Mennonites are of German descent, not Norwegian, and many came to western Canada via Russia/Ukraine, not from Norway. Although surnames such as the aforementioned three might look Scandinavian, perhaps because of the -en endings, they are not. (My interest in this arises from having a Norwegian great-grandparent and German-speaking Mennonite grandparents.)
