Although this is down as a Labour gain the constituency boundaries had changed greatly from the seat won by the Conservatives in 1970 and the article makes clear that the notional 1970 result on the new boundaries would have been an easy Labour win. Therefore I do not think this should be listed as a Labour gain (as the party notionally held the seat). Dunarc (talk) 20:26, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
