GAN

edit

I have nominated this article for GA status. I admit that I am not familiar with many of the architectural features of buildings so I often include terms directly from sources, including NRHP nomination sites. Paraphrasing can be difficult with such succinct descriptions. If other contributors and reviewers are able to make sure this article does not steal too much text from sources it would be much appreciated. I believe this article meets GA criteria. The article does not currently display any images but external links are provided, a request has been made using the WikiProject Oregon parameter, and a fellow project member has contacted a Flickr contributor for images (so hopefully images will be available very soon). Thank you. --Another Believer (Talk) 16:13, 22 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I like architecture topics; I will take a careful look at the wording as I review for GA. Binksternet (talk) 03:29, 24 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Drawbridge

edit

I removed the following text, which was added by an unregistered contributor: "The drawbridge survived the demolition, was salvaged, and then re-purposed as a performance stage at Velo Cult Bicycle Shop in NE Portland's Hollywood neighborhood where it is lowered down by a cable winch to serve as a raised stage for local bands and other events." Further investigation and references are needed. Thanks to the editor for contributing this information. --Another Believer (Talk) 04:10, 30 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

The only sources I found for this bit of info were Facebook posts, tweets and blogs. This stuff is enough for me, personally, to believe that Velo Cult now has the drawbridge, but it is not enough for Wikipedia, per WP:RS. (None of the sources are considered reliable.) There should be a mention of this in a local paper, maybe a rock critic commenting on a show. Binksternet (talk) 04:43, 30 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
