Not abolished in 1870

edit

The article states that Suriname "followed Dutch law which abolished the death penalty in 1870". This is absolutely not the case. The Surinamese penal system was not identical to the Dutch system. According to the 1917 Encyclopaedie van Nederlandsch West-Indië (Encyclopaedia of the Dutch West Indies, [1]) the 1910 Surinamese Penal Code still had provisions for the death penalty (although no one had been executed since 1875). Also I wouldn't really cal the 1982 events capital punishment. It's more along the lines of murder. I'm pretty sure people are still killed in Canada and all those other countries without calling it capital punishment.
