Article revision
editHello Wikipedians, this article is simply not very good - especially the following paragraph is a disaster:
- He had been informed on by a neighbor whom Gallagher had formerly helped, who apparently out of jealousy, after sending a message to the British commanding officer at Foxfire. Immediately sending for reinforcements from Ballina, Castlebar and Swinford, a force of 200 soldiers was sent after Gallagher. Upon their arrival at the town, they surrounded the home where the highwayman had been staying and proceeded to surround the house. Gallagher, then in poor health and not wishing to endanger his host of his family, surrendered to the British and was tried and convicted at Foxford and taken to Castlebar where he was executed.
Can anyone with access to a little background information go over this? I don't feel that I'm knowledgeable enough to delete/rephrase stuff myself.
Cheers!
