IUPAC name
editI believe the IUPAC Name is:
(3beta)-3-[(3-carboxypropanoyl)oxy]-11-oxoolean-12-en-30-oic acid--ChemSpiderMan (talk) 23:50, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Added. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 19:12, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
This article appears to contradict itself by saying: a) Carbenoxolone reversibly inhibits the conversion of cortisol to the inactive metabolite cortisone by blocking the enzyme 11β-HSD b) The drug inhibits 11β-HSD, an enzyme which regenerates cortisol, an active glucocorticoid, from inactive cortisone. So does the enzyme break down cortisol or regenerate it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.220.165.79 (talk) 05:57, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
