An IP has proposed merging Carcharocles into Otodus, so I though I would open up a discussion here. It seems standard in the literature now to refer to the species formerly included in Carcharocles within Otodus, so it has my tenative support. Hemiauchenia (talk) 01:33, 21 January 2021 (UTC)4Reply
Support If this was a few years ago I would be hesitant, but at this point the majority of authors no longer recognize Carcharocles as a valid taxon, and I highly doubt it would ever make a come back unless the rules of cladistics gets abandoned.
