Has anyone seen the news lately? You know how this squid changes color when it communicates right? I saw on the news like 1-2 months ago that Caribbean Reef Squid changes color if it finds a mate. Also to add onto that if another squid comes along on it's right side to try and steal it's female mate it's color on it's right body changes while it's color on the left side where it faces the female is yellow I think to show that it wants to mate with her.
