Behaviour section needs reworking
editThe two sentences under the last section "Behaviour" do not belong there. They seem more like opinions..."...will coexist given their temperment"? and "..entertaining water currents". Any thoughts? prashanthns (talk) 16:41, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- More work on the refs needed as well. prashanthns (talk) 17:42, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
I agree. Even the last sentence (The swimming of the shrimp has been described as "entertaining") seems a superfluous personal interpretation. A bigger issue, however, is the image representation, which is not particularly indicative for the species. Unfortunately, most pictures found on the Internet are not, as they tend to be blurry and show exaggerated coloring. The only good and high quality images I have found that truely show the shrimp as they are, are on the site of Fred Miranda. I have provided a link in the references, and will ask him if it would be possible to use one of his images as the main image for the article. WillemV369 (talk) 21:00, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
Article Reversion
editI have reverted this article to the version that existed before my own contributions. I made my contributions based on a wrong assumption. The shrimp I have were shown to be Caridina gracilirostris on this site: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/322234/0. However, this is not true. The red nose of this species is misleading. The actual species turns out to be Macrobrachium Celebensis. Further cross-referencing has highlighted the observed differences between the two species. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WillemV369 (talk • contribs) 18:07, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
