editPohlad grew up in the Des Moines area, not Minnesota. The Bank Shares, Inc (Marquette Bank Minneapolis and others) entity was sold to First Banks in 1992. The remainder of the Marquette Banks and other banks owned by Pohlad were sold to Wells Fargo in 2001.

Garbage
editThis article is worthless. 100% Pure Wikiality. No structure, no sources, irrational opinion and hearsay. Delete it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.48.223 (talk) 21:45, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- I agree it is bad. Don't delete it, but really needs improvement! Biased statements all over the place--for example, "in 2005, Pohlad broke even solely because of revenue sharing"--that's really unfair: revenue sharing from the league is just a portion of their total revenue. You might as well say "solely because of ticket sales"--"solely" really doesn't fit. Many other problems too. Locarno (talk) 03:02, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Future ownership
editIs this the correct article to mention who takes over ownership? I have a few sources stating that his sons will in fact keep the team for the forseeable future. -- TRTX T / C 15:06, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

This article needs updating. Besides the factual errors mentioned earlier, there is no reference to Mr. Pohlad's many other business interests (Marquette Financial, Pepsi Americas, etc) his net worth, college (Gonzaga), philanthropy, etc. The write up on the Twins is dated. The reference to Mr. Beaver was a very minor event. DWMelcher 01:56, 11 August 2006 (UTC) |

The article cites Jonah Keri of ESPN.com for the comment that Pohlad "foreclosed on Minnesota farmers during the Great Depression." Keri writes satirical and humorous sports column, and I would not consider him to a reference worth citing for biographical information. |
