children

edit

is the names and dates of birth of his children really necessary? LibStar (talk) 02:27, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

For the record, that was the only bit of content I didn't add - it was added by another. It's there now, so I don't mind. How does information about children and marriages compare to other biographies?--Roland Sparkes (talk) 13:18, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
marriages is fine but children's date of birth and names are not necessary unless they have their own WP article. LibStar (talk) 22:45, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
okay, whatever is WP practice; hwoever, but I think it's relevant to the article to state how many children he had. Where is the article should his family life be mentioned?--Roland Sparkes (talk) 01:21, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
number of children is fine for inclusion. LibStar (talk) 01:28, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

references/footnotes/citations

edit

I have previously applied 'footnotes' and 'references' sections to this article, but was then told this was not allowed, and it was stripped down. However, I have seen a featured article (Charles Darwin) and see that has sections on 'notes', 'citations' and 'references'. So my question is: why aren't more than one of these allowed on this article and the Carl Warburg article?--Roland Sparkes (talk) 01:54, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
