Carla Suárez → Carla Suárez Navarro — This is her real name. NWill has recently made many moves of Spanish tennis player biographies without explanation. - Chidel (talk) 23:53, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

- Support: Absolutely. Whenever possible, we should not be misrepresenting names. We have been through these discussions many times, and the consensus is that the diacritics stay. By the way, though, it was not User:NWill that removed the diacritic . . . that was done over a year ago by another user. Maedin\talk 14:59, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Unflattering names for Carla in the 2015 section
editI'm referring to the sentence which states, ""This led sports commentators to dub her 'the worst Top 10 player of all time' and 'Carla Flopez'."" I've googled for the words used in the sentence but can't see any reference to her being called these things at all; it looks like POV to me.
I've left it in for now but perhaps someone else might care to have a look at it. Meltingpot (talk) 20:42, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
- Meltingpot, unsourced edits of this nature should always be removed, see also the talk page instructions ("Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately from the article and its talk page, especially if potentially libellous."). --Wolbo (talk) 21:16, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. There seems to be somebody editing this article whose view concerning Carla's performance is at variance with mine. Carla's record in the second half of 2015 was certainly nothing to write home about but I wouldn't describe it as "horrific." Meltingpot (talk) 07:08, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
