The following were added to the article by an anonymous editor in December:

The complete demise of Italy as a nation 138 years later tells the tale. Cattaneo is probably the single most overlooked statesman and philosopher in the history of Italy.

I note with dissatisfaction that this article has changed little in ten years and is practically the same as the 1911 article of Britannica. Studies of Cattaneo have greatly advanced in one century, so I hope to contribute some more recent sources and expand/rewrite the article soon with the help of BEIC researchers, unless there are objections. --Federico Leva (BEIC) (talk) 14:54, 28 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
