Have tidied it up a little. Removed reference to posing for girlie magazine. Ninevah 22:51, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Carrie Bickmore specialises in deadpan delivery (on her spot on Rove at least). This should be mentioned somewhere. Razorthe6249th 03:14, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
Introductions
editas week goes by, the list gets bigger and bigger. I don't think it's notable enough to include every single intro she's said. WP:NOT#DIR which specifically says Wikipedia is not a list of quotations. Michellecrisp 14:23, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
- Wikiquote may be more appropriate for Carrie's quotes. Michellecrisp 02:38, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- I've removed all the introductions as they are simply not encyclopedic. They're fine for Wikiquote though, but if anyone adds them here again, I'll remove them. - kollision 12:45, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
No mention on the John Travolta interview? http://www.popsugar.com.au/John-Travolta-reportedly-cancels-interviews-after-talking-7PM-Projects-Carrie-Bickmore-7938933 123.200.229.52 (talk) The Hanging Chad —Preceding undated comment added 07:08, 30 March 2010 (UTC).
Carrie Bickmore also loves to sell out to big corporate fat cats because she is greedy and does not care for Australian culture. You make me sick. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.72.224.46 (talk) 19:54, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
To The Person Who Wrote This:
edit"Carrie Bickmore also loves to sell out to big corporate fat cats because she is greedy and does not care for Australian culture. You make me sick".
You make me sick because you wrote that. You don't know why she did an advertisement for Maccas. Maybe there was some other reason for it. Who the hell do you think you are telling people what they can and can't do and judging them? You've never met the woman so how would you know if she's greedy and doesn't care for Aussie culture. Don't say things like that about people without knowing who they are and their personality.
How would you like it if someone said something hurtful about you without talking to you first & they were judging you? I doubt you'd like it much at all. So what? Carrie did an advertisement for Maccas. Big whoop. Put her on Australia's most wanted lol! What she did is not a crime you know. She's a big girl and she's entitled to do what she likes without ignorant people like you making stupid and unintelligent comments.
She's not unAustralian for doing a Maccas advertisement. At least she contributes to society. How about you go and tell everyone who commits real crimes such as murder, rape, violence etc that they're unAustralian rather than some lady who decided to do a Maccas advertisement. I think there's much more important things in this world to worry about than that so seriously get over it! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.166.86.55 (talk) 10:12, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
Radio Career
editJust a point, but Carrie's career actually started before her Melbourne gig. She used to read the news on the Perth radio station I used to work for (PMFM 92.9) in the late 90's. I can't provide you with sources for the info but she was most definatley the person in the booth across from me about ten years ago :) 119.15.65.1 (talk) 07:46, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
- Researched and added to article. Thanks 119. Kiore (talk) 08:46, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
- Wow. I was starting to give up hope that any of my suggestions would ever be considered. This is the first one in many months that has been taken on board. Cheers Kiore. 119.15.65.1 (talk) 06:51, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
- No worries, I'm a fan of the news sessions she used to do on Rove -- Unfortunately we don't get her new show here in NZ. BTW: I'm not anything official with Wikipedia, just another user/editor of the service. If you've got ideas for improving Wikipedia, you can add them yourself. Researching Bickmore on 92.9 wasn't hard, a couple of Google queries & I was there. RegardsKiore (talk) 08:27, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi - me again (former announcer at PMFM-see above)...Brian Bickmore was not an announcer at the time she started...he was chairman of Austereo and based in another state...
Storm in a coffee cup
editWhy is it controversial to appear in an ad for McDonalds? In the two sources critical of her - The Drum[1] and coffee industry people[2] - the criticism is pretty mild, and I question whether the article needs to mention it at all. Adpete (talk) 01:34, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Some of the criticism has been more than mild! I never heard of this person's name until she used an opportunity to describe Australian culture to instead make some fast cash by plugging a US company. I wouldn't be surprised if her career suffers because of this, so it is pertinent to the article. 137.111.13.200 (talk) 04:04, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
