Chick hicks from cars the movie

I think he is more like a 1980's Volvo 240 General.jordet (talk) 14:54, 20 April 2017 (UTC)

He's almost certainly modeled after an '80s GM stock car. Here's a GNX: [1], and here's Chick: [2] - though, the note in the article really should be sourced... --Fru1tbat (talk) 15:03, 20 April 2017 (UTC)

VHS release

No offense, but isn't there a VHS release of Cars? It was a Disney Movie Club exclusive. I can't find any sources to cite it. --TheLennyGriffinFan1994 (talk) 02:13, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

Perhaps this source would work? http://www.thedrive.com/tech/4545/whats-the-greatest-automotive-vhs-release-ever

DisneyToon Studios

Multiple editors have removed from this article the fact that DisneyToons studios is no longer in existence. That is irrelevant as to what their role was in the production of the films they were involved in when they did exist. Saying they no longer exist is pointless extraneous information that adds no value to this topic. We don't go around old articles tagging when people die or companies have ceased to exist. That is why we link to articles about those people or companies so people who want more info can find out more. Geraldo Perez (talk) 20:58, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

Yes, I agree, as that makes perfect sense. It might not look so bad in this case, but if you would use this method everywhere, you can get ridiculous sentences such as "The now dead Hitler in the now concluded World War II". Also, I'm sure this is in the Manual of Style somewhere (it used to be anyway), but that's gotten so bloated nowadays that I have no idea where.--Atlan (talk) 21:31, 7 January 2019 (UTC)

A Car's Life: Sparky's Big Adventure

Can we put this hunk of garbage in the "Similar Films" section? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.107.228.180 (talk) 19:57, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

Spelling error

"and mostly forgotten, an Doc was"

Shouldn't it be "and Doc"? 2601:8C3:C280:A560:AC3D:16DB:DBEA:ACED (talk) 16:11, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Eyes on the windshield is humorously criticized by Jalopnik, not "heavily criticized"

The cited article by Jalopnik at the end of the paragraph "Unlike most anthropomorphic cars, the eyes of the cars in this film were placed on the windshield..." is written tongue-in-cheek, so it's misleading to write in this article "This decision was heavily criticized by automotive blog Jalopnik." Better would be "lightheartedly criticized" or omit the sentence about criticism entirely. Lee Choquette (talk) 19:56, 6 June 2023 (UTC)

A problem with the wording on the opening sentence of the plot.

"In a world where vehicles take on anthropomorphic traits..." The phrase "take on" doesn't sound right, like it implies they acquire them later on. I think the something to the effect of "In a world where vehicles have anthropomorphic traits" would be more appropriate . Ehh123 (talk) 20:36, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

I agree. It should be reworded. LancedSoul (talk) 20:40, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
