Notability of barking dogs. Comment

edit

Recently, a single-purpose user has begun to edit this article to promote an issue of barking dogs in this municipality. Specifically adding a variant of the following:

Although cosmopolitan in nature there is a growing problem with barking dogs in that the local municipality appears to have no control over the number of dogs that a household can keep even in the smallest apartment. Therefore dogs bark all night and day even in what may be termed the better or more expensive parts of Cascais. Calling the police to complain has little effect. For some property owners it is a nightmare.

Although this is commendable, Wikipedia is not about subjective point-of-view articles. I request that the editor refrain from adding these types of insertions per Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Notability, and/or specifically justifying their additions. There also seems to be a lack of verifiable sources for this type of content, and lacks balance per Wikipedia guidelines. As a consequence, I will continue to revert these types of additions without justifiable grounds.ruben jc ZEORYMER (talk) 07:28, 6 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Seconded. This is subjective, uncited, and needs to stop. Can someone add a warning to this user's page as a prequel (if necessary) to administrator intervention? Irregulargalaxies (talk) 02:19, 9 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Confusion between Cascais municipality and Cascais town

edit

Cascais is a municipality made up of the below freguesias, or civil parishes. All of these have their own articles and there is an article specifically for Estoril but no article for the town of Cascais. This causes confusion because Cascais addresses both the town and the other parts of the municipality, covering, for example, Estoril's casino and the airport, which is in São Domingos de Rana. Should there not be separate articles on Cascais Municipality and on Cascais town?
