  •   Article is new and long enough. Article is cited with inline citations. No pings for copyvio or close paraphrasing on Earwigs. QPQ has been completed. The proposed hook is not particularly interesting, but upon reading the article to search for alternative hooks, I'm questioning whether the subject of the article – a "fitness influencer" with ~36k followers who has a column and wrote an eBook – meets WP:NOTE. Like, the claim that she "notably criticized the MacBook Pro's new butterfly keyboard design" is supported by two cites to articles that each contain a single passing reference to an article she wrote about the subject. I'd be interesting in having another editor weigh in on the notability of the subject before moving forward with this nomination. Morgan695 (talk) 19:05, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
    • @Morgan695: That's a fair question; that is a pretty low follower count (it is a real profession, cf. Category:Health and fitness YouTubers). I'd say that a more relevant heuristic would be the WP:THREE significant profiles in GQ, The Cut, and The New York Times. And the keyboard design bit probably ought to be modified to wrote an article criticizing ..., or could just be removed. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 21:43, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
      • @Hameltion: OK, that establishes notability. I still don't think the proposed hook is viable, even as a silly/jokey hook, and would encourage other options. Morgan695 (talk) 23:01, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
        • Sure thing. I still like it, but it kind of only makes sense in context. So revisions (also added to and clarified article):
          • ALT1: ... that when Casey Johnston "couldn't stop talking about" weightlifting, she was asked to start writing a fitness advice column? Ibid., and interview
          • ALT1a ... that after Casey Johnston talked to an editor about weightlifting, she was invited to start writing a fitness advice column? Ibid (both)
          • ALT2 ... that Casey Johnston's writing about weightlifting is intended for people who feel their bodies are "never hot enough"? GQ
@Morgan695: A couple in the same vein but hope they're clearer; the other kind of comes off unintentionally as a downer. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 01:49, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
