Talk:Cash coins in traditional Chinese medicine

Modern or historical?

edit

Interestingly enough, almost all modern Chinese writing I've found about this subject claims that cash coins are no longer being used in Traditional Chinese "medicine" (TCM), while a number of English-language sources (notably Historical Archaeology) claim that it is still being used in Traditional Chinese "medicine". While historically this seems to have been mainstream, from what I can tell on the Mandophone internet this isn't the case among those who believe in Traditional Chinese "medicine" today. Note that the Mandarin Chinese-language Wikipedia article on Gua sha claims that cash coins are still used, but the English-language Wikipedia's version of this article doesn't explicitly mention it. --Donald Trung (talk) 15:42, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
