Is this screenshot image too much of a spoiler? I couldn't decide since the summary is there anyways. atanamir 12:31, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure, seeing as how anyone who watches it probably saw it. We should probably use another one, but definitley use this elsewhere on the page. Probably within the spoiler warning area. Alcnolien 14:38, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I think there should DEFINITELY be another picture. Maybe of Jim and Pam talking in the parking lot or something? Or maybe just after this kiss. It pretty much wipes out the whole reason for the spoiler tag on this page. Williamnilly 15:41, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

What about this?

[[Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg -->]]

I just uploaded it and noticed you've already put a new one on. atanamir 15:51, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I readded the kiss shot later down the article. Is that ok? --DrBat 20:33, 27 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Large break in text.

edit

I removed the image

File:Pamjim.jpg
Pam and Jim's kiss.

from the main page as it was creating a rather large blank from paragraph to paragraph. Can someone with more knowledge of wikipedia page design fix it up? An Hero 17:08, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Casino night"

edit

Some kind of disambiguation is in order, as I arrived at this page by clicking on the "casino night" link at the Charity gambling article. Presumably, a separate article is needed for the concept of a casino night, and this one should be renamed along the lines of "Casino Night (The Office episode)". 72.65.42.119 (talk) 04:59, 26 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just saw this now. I've cleaned up a couple of links that were pertaining to the event rather than the episode. It's not much of a problem now in terms of incorrect links. Mastrchf (t/c) 02:17, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

GA Review

edit

This review is transcluded from Talk:Casino Night/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

I'm placing the article on hold. A few things to work on:

  1. Office tally is a fan site, not a reliable source.
  2. IMDB is not a reliable source.
  3. "...Michael accidentally invites his boss Jan." That isn't true.
  4. "...Pam is considering to have perform at her wedding..." Awkward.
  5. "On Casino Night, Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) wins at craps and kisses Angela Martin (Angela Kinsey) on the cheek..." This should probably read During casino night. Also, "wins at craps" seems a bit awkward to me.
  6. "At the bar, Jan and Carol share an awkward conversation." Why was it awkward?
  7. "Roy leaves the party early, and Jim finds Pam in the parking lot and tells her that he's in love with her." This should be split into two sentences. Something like this would work: Roy leaves the party early and asks Jim to take care of Pam. When Roy leaves, Jim tells Pam that he is in love with her.
  8. "...Jan takes her leave of Michael and Carol and wishes them well, putting on a brave face over her bitter disappointment." Why is Jan disappointed?
  9. The first sentence of the Production section appears to be unsourced.
  10. I think that it wouldn't be a bad idea to mention that the time slot for a super-sized episode is forty minutes.
  11. Reference 5 needs more info.
  12. Several of the sources are missing dates.
  13. "Denman and Krasinski also stated that they both believed that the petition..." Unclear. Try Denman and Krasinski both believed...

Good luck with the improvements! Ice Cold Beer (talk) 06:23, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've made all requested changes except the request to expand Reference 5. I believe that the information on the page gives enough detail to not require additional information in the source itself. If you feel strongly about it, though, I'll be happy to add additional info. Mastrchf (t/c) 21:39, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
You should at least provide a title and URL for the particular post in Angela Kinsey's myspace blog. Ice Cold Beer (talk) 03:45, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I was unable to find her post, so having no reliable reference, I went ahead and removed the statement. Mastrchf (t/c) 03:57, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I didn't catch this in my intial review, but the fair use rationale for the picture isn't good enough. May I suggest using the template? Ice Cold Beer (talk) 04:08, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think I was a little bit unclear in my review. I did not like the ambiguous language being used to describe the "Michael has two dates" plot arc, but I did not want mention of it removed from the article. It is one of the two major plot arcs in this article, and it deserves mention. Also, I'm going on vacation, so if you fix it I might not be able to take a look at it for a few days. I'm sorry if this causes any problems for you. If necessary, I will extend the on hold period a few days. Ice Cold Beer (talk) 03:54, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
No problem at all. Mastrchf (t/c) 12:00, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
The plot arc has been reestablished in the article. Mastrchf (t/c) 12:07, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ref 9 is IMDB. I'm sure there are other sources documenting these awards. Also, and this is not crucial to passing the article, but it might be a good idea to use templates such as {{cite web}} in your refs. Ice Cold Beer (talk) 17:48, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Official Page for the awards states that to find info on past winners, visit the IMDB listing. Because it's listed directly from the official webpage, I think that this is the best source available. And I'm going to go ahead and keep the refs as is. Mastrchf (t/c) 18:09, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
By the way, I'm going to copy all of this into the dedicated review page. Mastrchf (t/c) 18:14, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good to me. I'll list it now. Ice Cold Beer (talk) 18:38, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
