This article is in good shape. Just a few comments from me:

• in the lead, given the number of William's, "William's heir" is a bit sketchy, I'd suggest "The fourth earl", assuming that is correct

• the use of bolding of bailey gate in the lead is not per MOS:BOLD, as it is not a synonym. Unless there is another MOS reason for its bolding I recommend unbolding it

• The Castle Acre Bailey Gate article links in here, which I think (it certainly used to be) covered by MOS:BOLD.

• that is a redirect rather than an article. Bolding in the lead is limited to synonyms, and the bailey gate isn't a synonym for Castle Arce Castle and town walls, it is a subset of it.

• the footnote in the lead is unnecessary, as the quote is footnoted in the body
