This particular article should probably be linked to the article on the "Somnium Scipionis" by Cicero, where the Catapuda is specifically mentioned. The relevant passage in the Somnium is: "ubi Nilus ad illa, quae Catadupa nominantur, praecipitat ex altissimis montibus,ea gens, quae illum locum adcolit, propter magnitudinem sonitus sensu audiendi caret."
