The label of "Hispanophobia" is deeply biased. The Catalan Alliance does not promote ethnic hated of any sort against Spaniards, but it does oppose control of Catalonia by Spain as a state and the integration of the former in the latter. It has also been vocal in contesting the alleged imposition of Spanish and French languages in Catalonia but that does not entail any sort of hatred speech which is banned in Spanish law.
