Liabilities
editThe "three liabilities" listed, beyond not being cited, contain an apparent problematic item: "In addition, it often gets far too big for its allocated space in the landscape, and crowds out or casts too much shade on other desirable plants." Isn't this more about the planter's poor planning, and doesn't this apply to all trees used for canopy? Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 13:15, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- Agreed. In fact, the whole of the “Cultivation” section after the first para is completely unreferenced. Wikipedia threatens to remove unreferenced material, but in practice rarely seems to do so. Darorcilmir (talk) 13:39, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
Indian toby tree
editIn western Pennsylvania the common name for this tree is Indian toby tree. "Toby" is an old word for a cigar, and kids used to smoke the dried cigar-shaped fruits. Lyttle-Wight (talk) 15:30, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
