editIsn't it really located in the community of Victoria Square? (hard to call cathedral town a community, just falling in with the developer)
How is it a cathedral? Isn't a cathedral the seat of a bishop? wouldn't it more properly be a basilica?
The building looks a little worse for wear. Grass isn't cut, front steps falling apart, roads not paved, basement doors rusty, no pews inside. What's up? Still a going concern or belly-up?
- A basilica has to be declared such by the Vatican, so that term is not appropriate, either. "Former cathedral" is the most accurate term, since the building was a legitimate cathedral for a time. In the present tense it can't really be refered to as a cathedral or even a church (at least not a Catholic one). --145.226.30.45 (talk) 16:18, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

editThe Roman Catholic Church classifies the Cathedral of the Transfiguration as a "Former" Cathedral. Perhaps the title for this article should match?

editThe construction around the church has proceeded apace. I have current photos. Should I upload them?
