What about the other Catherine?
editThe original Catherine should that be made apparent that they share the name or something? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.217.128.167 (talk) 08:04, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Chicago's Catherine should have the (band) instead of this short lived band. They were around longer and made a bigger impact on music.
- Agreed! 70.36.136.102 (talk) 03:32, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- Hard disagree. They helped bring the emo/scene music "scene" to Modesto, which became huge later on and influenced many bands from the area. Also, they're from Modesto, CA, not Sacramento. I literally went to house shows of the members, and at a couple different shows they talked about being from the area and growing up there. I think they moved to Sac after signing to a label. <[▪︎_▪︎<] ^[▪︎_▪︎]^ [>▪︎_▪︎]> (talk) 01:20, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
Only one paragraph. Completely subjective
edit"Catherine is a metalcore band from Sacramento, California. They are currently signed to Rise Records. On their MySpace they state "With some fresh faces on board, Catherine continues to rock out and tour most of the year. Be on the lookout for the next Catherine disk which should be released early in 2009.What they meant by new faces aboard they meant that the band has done a total reconstruction of sorts. This being that none of their original band members are in the band except for Robert Tobin, who started the band. This made an uproar among the fans and Catherine has never been seen the same."
This is the only paragraph written on the band. this is garbage. first of all "never has been the same"? that's information based on personal feelings that holds nothing to anything.
Improper punctuation is an issue.
I don't see how that is a proper quote to use for summary of Catherine. It just isn't. It's not a summarizing quote at all. If you have to include subjective information in a summary, it's not a summary
Rise Records
editIt hasn't really been mentioned, but Rise Records doesn't have Catherine on their lineup anymore... hm
This because they're no longer on Rise
non encyclopedic
editplease source and properly cite and justify any re-additions re: players, chart rankings, sourced shows, ect Saintstephen000 (talk) 03:48, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
They're from Modesto, CA, not Sacramento.
editAs I said in another comment...
They helped bring the emo/"scene" music scene to Modesto, which became huge later on and influenced many bands from the area. Also, they're from Modesto, CA, not Sacramento. I literally went to house shows of the members in Modesto, and at a couple different shows they talked about being from the area and growing up there. I think they moved to Sac after signing to a label or possibly after Bryan (their original lead singer) passed. A big thing bands (from Modesto) at the time would do is say they were "from" Sacramento as a way to seem bigger, and possibly cooler, or to draw more attention to themselves from labels (as not a lot of labels were/are interested in signing small bands from small towns with hardly any venues). I remember many bands doing this to their MySpace (i.e., listing that they were from Sac when they were originally formed in Modesto or still lived here. <[▪︎_▪︎<] ^[▪︎_▪︎]^ [>▪︎_▪︎]> (talk) 01:25, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
