Catholic Church in the Palestinian territories → Catholic Church in the State of Palestine – Not sure, but should this one be renamed per WP:CONSISTENCY with State of Palestine, or is there any reason that I am not informed of for why it should deviate? - Oppose because either way is taking a stand, to a certain point. Could just as easily say the current title is consistent with Palestinian Territories. Since nobody expressed an opinion in the last two weeks, maybe you could just non-controversially move it to Catholic Church in Palestine and avoid the whole question? - @PPEMES: Would you support a move to Catholic Church in Palestine? Safrolic (talk) 21:04, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
- Excuse, what would be the determining source for that, please? PPEMES (talk) 21:10, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
- Well, the modern State of Palestine has been around for less than a decade, and the Palestinian Territories have only been around for less than a century. They're politically-defined both temporally and geographically. But the Catholic Church has been active in Palestine (region) at various points for about as long as there's been a Catholic Church, wayyy before there was a State or Territories at all. Eventually (hopefully) this article will reflect that. It would also be consistent with Holy See-Palestine relations. Safrolic (talk) 21:24, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
- Support rationale. Seems reasonable. PPEMES (talk) 22:07, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
- Support. Makes sense. Nice and simple. ─ ReconditeRodent « talk · contribs » 23:08, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
