Tag is unjustified

edit

Tag is unjustified. Please show what is OR and unverified. Iranica is cited as a source throughout this article. YOu havent even discussed the issue one bit and you went ahead to put up a tag?Azerbaijani 13:03, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I added some sources and removed the OR tag, as I left a comment above a long time ago and got no response.Hajji Piruz 17:14, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Can you show me any source that calls Albania a satrapy? You called the article Albania (satrapy), but I have not seen any source refering to Albania using this particular word. Grandmaster 04:41, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Satrapy means province in old. We could also, instead of "satrapy" use "shahr" or "shahrab" if you prefer, they both mean the same thing (both mean province).Hajji Piruz 15:03, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Josef Wiesehofer, to whom you refer, says that Albania was not shahr, but that it was a kingdom. Grandmaster 12:44, 18 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I reinserted the Iranica sourced information that was removed. Also, the information that you replaced that Iranica sourced information is about Barda after the Arab invasions, which is completely irrelevant to this article.Hajji Piruz 14:49, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal

edit

This should be merged with the Caucasian Albania article, since it is the same. --HistoryofIran (talk) 15:02, 4 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

@HistoryofIran:, I concur strongly. - LouisAragon (talk) 03:05, 17 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
After looking at a few sources, it seems like besides the Caucasian Albania kingdom itself, the Sasanians also had a province named Arran/Ardan (Albania). --HistoryofIran (talk) 16:28, 6 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
