Because that's the actual name of the entity? Fwiw, I don't feel super strongly about it, but noticed the disconnect and also the French article being under the full name and figured it couldn't hurt to bring up. -- Avocado (talk) 01:31, 18 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
The primary reason the French article is at fr:Société des avions Caudron is because fr:Caudron is a disambiguation page there. We don't have that here, so it's at the most common name and primary topic, Caudron. The German, Catalan, Czech, Portuguese, and Russian articles are also at "Caudron", probably for the same reasons.
