Merge proposal

An Cavern Airfield is not the same as an Aircraft cavern.Only because the name sounds simelar it isn't simelar. It is NOT the same subject. so no need to merge. The Cavern Airfild was a project of the Swiss Air Force, it was not built, it differents afrom an aircraft cavern because of the aircraft evelators inside the Mountain and the Start Runway insde the mountain. Aircraft Caverns have been built, they have no aircraft eevelator, and conventional runways for Take of and landing on a conventional AFB. Also the aircraft caverns are built on differend spotsd but not on that geographical spot the Cavern airfild would have been. Only the Vampire and the Venom would have been able to operate in it. But the Aircraft caverns are able to be used by Vampire, Venom, Hawker Hunter, BAe Hawk, Mirage IIIS, Mirage IIIRS, F-5E. and the cavern Meiringen with the F/A-18 Hornet. - This article is nonsense. We dreamt of such a thing as children. Of course military dreams like children but the planning cannot have been advanced to even a sketch. Author admits, he does not own the reference that possibly mentions this rumour.
- One of the sources ist quite explicit about the matter, mentioning: The myth that everyone is guaranteed to hear is that Swiss combat aircraft could take-off directly from the cavern.UNO ZERO ZERO, page 259. Have fun --Anidaat (talk) 17:25, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
- The technical details are just ridiculous; how would you adjust the speed to not let it move out of its way and into a valley of strong winds, which the valley is well known for.... the worst possilbe place for this....
- The photographs are weird too; one showing a traffic overlook on the motorway, serving to check on heavy lorries. Coordinates for this are 46.834681, 8.636927 and is quite a bit away from the described location - even the motorway would nobody have spoken of in those years as national roads didn't mean motorway.
- Sorry, completely weird. Of course one was speaking of possibilities (I will provide a non-military reference as soon as this phantasy has disappeared (to avoid even more confusion)) but location and details are just fiction and invented.--Anidaat (talk) 12:36, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
