Help
editI am trying to upload an image and it won't work could somebody help me with it?
stolen bases
editAccording to both ESPN.com and baseball-reference.com, Cecil Fielder has 2 career stolen bases.
Hall of Fame
editCan we prove Cecil got any Hall of Fame talk? Sure he drove in a bunch of runs and hit some big homers, but his power career was relatively short, he was a poor defender at best, and that .255 batting average is downright awful. Skipperxc (talk) 16:27, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- There was considerable talk of Cecil Fielder making the Hall of Fame while he was still an active player, but most people thought he would slow down before his career totals ever reached Hall of Fame-caliber levels, because of his weight and lack of skills other than prodigious power. This is eventually what happened. As soon as he lost bat speed, he was no longer an effective player. He lost about four years off the front end of his career (because he played on the same team and in the same position as Fred McGriff), or it might have been a different story. But as things stand now, few if anyone would consider Cecil Fielder a Hall of Fame candidate. Jsc1973 (talk) 16:14, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Song referencing him
editBike Tuff's "Cecil Fielder didn't have to deal with this shit and neither do I" from their split with Home Life references him. Perhaps a pop culture references to him could be added to the article given that its likely others can be found
