Problems
editDear editor, have you been to the mall lately? This has not been the name for several years. Second, please read WP:NPOV as to why there should be more about the function of the facility to balance out the contamination issue, and in general WP:BETTER. Aboutmovies 18:24, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Above balancing has been addressed and article location has now been moved. Thanks for your efforts in improving this page Aboutmovies. Woodsylass 18:41, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Seeing the failed deletion, how about merging this article with Bernard's Airport, seeing that they both talk about the same piece of land? Even if what's there now (at least partially a strip mall) doesn't deserve an article, the history of the land (film site/airport/mall) does. Jason McHuff (talk) 11:10, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
This mall is dead
editAs of September, 2016, this mall is completely dead. Powell's Books, Winco Foods, and Best Buy were the only three anchors left, and in the interior, only Cold Stone Creamery and the Game Exchange were the only things left (Game Exchange being literally the only original store, and it now only resells "vintage" games from the era the mall opened). All other shops and restaurants inside the mall were closed. There's maybe 20 shops and restaurants indoors, of which 2 are open.
When I was there in September, Bank of the West didn't anticipate keeping their branch open much longer, McMennamin's next door was open but had no customers, Baskin Robins was already gone, the department of employment was already bulldozed, Powells took over the old Borders anchor on the north outparcel, the bowling alley on the north outparcel was going out of business, and the new movie theater wasn't exactly doing well and looking half closed itself. Having talked to the manager of the McDonalds on the outparcel, seems like they're doing pretty poorly and looking to sell or close themselves; the drive-thru's express exit has been closed for 15 years now.
This thing's Oregon's Rolling Acres or Owings Mills. It's done.
