editThere is no metaphase checkpoint. The checkpoint actually occurs in anaphase, when the Cdh1 binds to the anaphase promoting complex, starting the destruction of the mitotic cyclins

This may be true in its position in the cell cycle but it is still referred to as Metaphase checkpoint. SteveD 31st May 2008. 20:51 pm. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.179.90.52 (talk) 10:52, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
The article says about the G2-Checkpoint "The MPF activates the CDK in response to environmental conditions being right for the cell and allows the cell to begin DNA replication."
But at the end of G2 the DNA is already replicated, right? It is the G1-Checkpoint (before S-phase), which allows the cell to replicate the DNA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.178.237.94 (talk) 14:04, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
