References?

edit

The article references (and directly quotes without full credit) the website http://www.ethanolfuelresource.com/ in several places, but this site hardly seems like a credible source. It offers no information on its authorship or ownership and fails to provide outside references to its own statements. New primary sources should be found and the content rewritten to avoid plagiarism.

This is a relatively new article, on an emerging topic, and there are quite a few areas where improvements can be made. Please help where you can. Thanks. -- Johnfos 01:48, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Article needs an update

edit

This article needs an update. There are too many references to projects under construction with dates from years ago. John Nagle (talk) 21:47, 5 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

I generally agree, but could you point out some specific projects which have moved past the construction stage, reached completion, and begun operation in the last few years please. That would be a help. Johnfos (talk) 08:47, 6 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
That's the problem. Finding projects under construction that were finished and started up. From the US table of plants:
  • Abengoa ("est. late 2013") - insolvent.
  • Fulcrum Bioenergy ("est. end of 2013") - web site says they contracted with Abengoa to build a plant for completion in 2017. Oops. [1]
  • POET#Cellulosic_ethanol ("Sept. 2014") - Actually opened, but took $80M in government grants.[2]. It's part of an ethanol-from-corn plant.

Updated US table. Anyone want to do other countries? John Nagle (talk) 22:02, 20 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
