The experience of a centipede bite
editThe first centipede bite I received was a scratch to my little toe by the fang. In twelve hours my foot had swollen as to look like I had elephantiasis. The swelling disappeared in five days. The nerve response in my leg was so deadened that I had difficulty standing on it. I had to learn to walk with it again. The calcium in my little toe was partially dissolved away and in two weeks the largest bone there snapped like a dry twig when bumped. Decades later the damage is still not healed. ♪♫~~☼~~♫♪ My Flatley (talk) 04:46, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Bite vs sting
editAs this is really a sting from a pair of stinger and not a bite from the mouthparts, I suggest we rename this article Centipede sting and modify the text to reflect this. DRosenbach (Talk | Contribs) 20:52, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
