Potential confusion
editThe first paragraph of the lead refers to the West Bank, the second to the "Judea and Samaria Area", without explaining what it is (an Israel-specific term for the same area). In order to minimize confusion, I suggest we standardize on one, preferrably the internationally accepted term. MeteorMaker (talk) 15:36, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
There should be some explanation as to why the "commander (Aluf) of the central command is the one who is authorized to declare new cities in the Judea and Samaria Area". Such a power is normally vested in a parliament or at least government, not a local military commander.203.184.41.226 (talk) 21:05, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
- The Judea and Samaria Area is administered by the Israel Defense Forces Central Command, and Military law is applied. Flayer (talk) 23:31, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
