Deletion
editWhy is this page being considered for deletion in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policy?
- If you click on the links supplied, it fails WP:ORG. It doesn't meet the criteria for notability. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 18:54, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
- (edit conflict)You need to find reliable sources to keep this article. Currently, everything you have is pretty much pointing back to their own website (and it's copyrighted). I've done a Google search, but so far, all the articles mention on a lawyer who works there. I have yet to find an article about the organization itself. There needs to an article (ideally multiple articles) from reliable, secondary sources that are about the organization itself; not a case; not a lawyer from it; not about a client represented by it. How is it different than https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_Aid_Justice_Center. Further, the president-elect of the Virginia State Bar’s Executive Council works there. Also, the potential vice president's wife helped create the organization. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcwhitfield (talk • contribs) 19:03, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS isn't a reason to have an article in Wikipedia. That article has notability issues as well. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 19:09, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
I added reliable sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcwhitfield (talk • contribs) 19:25, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
- Not really. They all just mention or list the organization. As I mentioned on your talk page, you are still copy and pasting from articles and sites. That is a copyright violation. You need to stop that. Also, please sign your posts. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 20:02, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
More sources and information has been added. Have the issues been resolved? -mcwhitfield — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcwhitfield (talk • contribs) 16:00, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
Notable organization
editStatement from the AfD discussion:
- A notable non-profit organization funded by the Commonwealth of Virginia, with 27 inline citations. It does need copyediting and DAB fixes, but those problems are not cause for deletion. Consider Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and Legal Aid Society of Louisville as like notable organizations elsewhere.--DThomsen8 (talk) 23:55, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
