I'm not sure if "roasted grain beverage" is the best name for this article. A product distributed by the Kellogg Company uses the phrase on its labelling, but I don't know if there is a better name for the general type of beverage. "I'm going to make a cup of roasted grain beverage" doesn't sound right. -- Rikus07:24, 30 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
I think it's probably not all reconstituted - the Japanese put roasted grains in some of their teas, and possibly have all grain infusions as well. In australia there's a grain beverage powder called Caro — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.91.246.166 (talk) 23:35, April 11, 2013 (UTC)
You certainly don't "reconstitute" mugicha or genmaicha. If the article is intended to discuss roasted grain beverages in general, then they're typically boiled/brewed/steeped in some way, and the grains discarded. (Technically this sort of reconstitutes the grains, I guess, but that's not what you consume.) However, if this article is meant to focus on instant products (just add water and stir) it should be titled "Instant Roasted Grain Beverages." --24.91.246.166 (talk) 14:35, 11 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
Someone needs to go through the effort of checking the English sources to determine WP:COMMONNAME. For what it's worth, Polish name "sounds better" - it simply translates to "cereal coffee" :) A quick google search shows that this name is much more popular in English too (1m google hits vs 10k for "Roasted grain drink"). Our article currently doesn't even mention this name variant, instead it lists "grain coffee" (250k hits) and "Roasted grain beverage" (50k). Maybe I should be WP:BOLD and move this article... --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here04:32, 14 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
