There appear to be multiple conflicted users here, see talk page. Theroadislong (talk) 20:03, 3 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Dear @Theroadislong: and dear @AngusWOOF: I have been studying Cesare Angelini (author) for a lifetime, it is my passion. I don't make money. I work for free just to bring his knowledge a little into the world of literature. I declared my COI in the talk of the article. But even though there is COI, i.e. since I am linked to the author, I don't see any problems of neutrality as stated in the warning. In the article I didn't make apology for Cesare Angelini (author), I only reported his life, works, with the support (see bibliography) of people recognized in Wikipedia. I don't think the warning of non-neutrality is right, if you think it is, leave it. What I have to say? Thank you. FabiusCesareAngelini (talk) 22:53, 3 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Johannine ecumenism

edit

FabiusCesareAngelini, please could you clarify the phrase Johannine ecumenism? Does it mean Pope John XXIII's ecumenism? It may also not be WP:NPOV to say that Angelini anticipated a papal action forty years later. TSventon (talk) 13:17, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

TSventon,
I didn't mean that Angelini anticipated Pope John, but it is a single episode that seems to anticipate Pope John's ecumenism. If I was wrong to translate, I was wrong. I apologize.
If you think the statement is not expressed correctly, please correct it, in case also remove it. If so, remove the entire article as well. What I have to say?
I have tried to report the facts with the utmost neutrality.
Thanks for suggestion. FabiusCesareAngelini (talk) 13:28, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
FabiusCesareAngelini, I had to do some investigation to guess that Johannine referred to Pope John XXIII, and I think other English speaking readers would have the same problem, so I have changed the wording.
On NPOV, the article is largely based on Italian sources not available online, so it is quite difficult for editors who don't have access to the sources to know what is NPOV and what isn't. "an episode that seemed to anticipate Johannine ecumenism" is just one example. It looks like an opinion, and WP:NPOV says Wikipedia should "Avoid stating opinions as facts". Possibly the statement should be attributed to one of the sources, but I don't know what they say. The statement may be WP:PROMOTION and if so, it should be removed. TSventon,
thanks for your investigation into the religious term of the word.
Unfortunately I cannot remove the episode since I am included in COI, and Wikipedia forcibly advises me against making changes to the article.
If you want to remove it yourself, go ahead.
Indeed, since it seems to me that you have a good knowledge of religious matters, if you want to review the whole article in order to make it in a neutral point of view you are welcome.
Also AngusW🐶🐶F and Theroadislong, or users they know, are welcome if they want to make changes.
Anyone who wants to review the entire article in order to render it in a neutral point of view is welcome.
Unfortunately I, as I said above, can't do anything in the article.
Thank you all. FabiusCesareAngelini (talk) 17:05, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please address the allegation here [1] that you are also editing as User:LitteralContributor. Theroadislong (talk) 17:27, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Theroadislong,
after I've worked hard for a good article, just for that, I've only received criticism, accusations.
I am disappointed with Wikipedia, so I leave it. This is my last message. Then I leave forever.
If you want to edit the article, edit it, if you want to delete it, delete it. Same for my user, if you want to block it, block it, if you want to remove it, remove it.
Although I am sorry, I leave Wikipedia.
Thank you. FabiusCesareAngelini (talk) 18:02, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
