Talk:Cessna 402

Latest comment: 6 months ago by Nigel Ish in topic The 402's engine specs

Problem with the production numbers: Aviation consumer says there were 3,572 Cessna 401s and 402s produced. I have that book in front of me, and can send a picture of the page to anyone who wants.

Airliners.net says 401 Cessna 404s and 1535 Cessna 402s were built.

http://rzjets.net/aircraft/?typeid=335 has a production total of 1491 airframes.

I don't know who's right. The article has the numbers from Aviation consumer, but if anyone has a more authoritative source you're welcome to change it. Kitplane01 (talk) 06:03, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Different again but From Airlife's General Aviation it has:
  • 401 x 322
  • 401A x 132
  • 401B x 91
  • 402A x 129
  • 402B x 835
  • 402C x 681

Which equals a total of 2190. MilborneOne (talk) 15:45, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

The 402's engine specs

edit

The overview paragraph says the 401 and 402 all have a 300 HP Continental engine, but the specifications section says that they output 325 HP. Anyone know which is correct? 69.53.81.74 (talk) 22:51, 5 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

From the TCDS, it looks like every version except the 402C airliner has 300 hp engines, with the 402C having 325 hp engines.Nigel Ish (talk) 23:36, 5 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
