Selected artworks by Picasso from Vauvenargues
edit1. It is not clear what this section heading precisely means. Are these works by Picasso currently in the Chateau - or which were once in the Chateau - or which were created in the Chateau - or what?
2. The list is very long. Should it not be a separate article, with a title like "List of Picasso works currently/formerly/created in the Chateau of Vauvenargues"?
3. There are many many external links in this list. Is it necessary to have them, especially as they seem to need a constant effort to keep up to date? Is Wikipedia really a link directory? Why not just list the works by name and send the reader to the existing article for the On-line project, or directly to the website?

- This is a fairly comprehensive list of artworks produced between 1959 and 1961 by Picasso at Vauvenargues. The problem with 20th century art on wikipedia is that no images of artworks produced after 1923 are permitted because of copyright rules. This is an attempt to solve that problem. The other recent contribution in the external links by a contributor from Texas A&M gave another link to works in the Picasso archive there using a search on Vauvenargues. He added this because the formatting of the links changed recently. I don't see any point in a separate article, hence the collapse boxes. All external links have the problem of potential future reformatting; but adjusting the format was not particularly time-consuming. But as I have mentioned, that is a problem with post 1923 artworks on wikipedia. Mathsci (talk) 12:03, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
- Do you have a reference for this list? It would be helpful. Penny Birch (talk) 14:46, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- Seems to be unpublished research. Penny Birch (talk) 09:13, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
