Talk:Chama (investment)

Regulated. Also not regulated.

edit

The article says: 'Chamas in Kenya are not regulated most of them are informal. Registered Savings and Credit Corporation (SACCO) are the one regulated by Sacco Society Regalatory Authority(SASRA) Chamas are regulated in Kenya and most other countries under the "Cooperative Societies Act" or similar legislation.'

I can fix the typo "regalated" but I don't know anything whatsoever about Kenyan financial regulators and am not really qualified to find out whether chamas are or are not regulated. I just know the article should not say both. --IAmNitpicking (talk) 18:42, 4 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

So, I guess no one knows whether chamas are regulated or not? — Preceding unsigned comment added by IAmNitpicking (talkcontribs) 13:24, 28 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Similar practices around the world

edit

Similar concepts and practices exist in communities around the world, for example in South and South East Asia and the Middle East, yet there's no mention of that in the article or links to articles of such nature in general. 147.236.228.143 (talk) 07:50, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
